This is the largest annual event that the Explorer Club puts on for members and guests each year. My wife and I ventured up for the first time since joining, in 2007.
The event starts off with cocktails, and an exotics buffet. It was pretty interesting; I had a few scorpions and pickled duck tongue.
Super biologist E.O. Wilson was honored at the event, and Josh Bernstein and Jim Fowler MC'd.
The next day we were at the clubhouse, having drinks and chatting with friends. The Bio Blitz that I had planned in Atlanta for 2009 has been postponed until 2010, which is upsetting, but probably for the better. We'll be able to make sure there's a massive turnout and amazing speakers.
